Terms and conditions of business

The vessel Rainbow Seeker is supplied by the Rainbow Seeker Partnership who are the charterers. The vessel is meets the standards set by the MCA and the code set by the DoT for small commercial vessels. In addition she meets the requirements of the RYA for sail training vessels and is regularly inspected by the appropriate independent surveyors.

Rainbow Seeker is insured for commercial use with a third party liability limit of £ 3million. This is insurance of the vessel and her crew and is not a substitute for personal insurance which should be taken out by the client.

Clients are recommended to take out personal insurance to cover injury, damage and loss of property and, insurance against cancellation of booking charges.

Safety equipment is provided on the vessel and must be used appropriately by the client. Lifejackets must be worn at all times on deck and when in the dinghy.

The skipper provided with the vessel will hold a current RYA yachtmaster certificate commercially endorsed and instructors certificate if needed.

A deposit of 25% of the fee will be required to make a booking and a booking form will specify the fee agreed between client and the Rainbow Seeker partnership.

The balance of 75% of the fee is payable before 28 days of the activity date. Cancellation within 28 days will result in the total loss of the fee however the company will endeavour to rebook the activity if at all possible.

Cancellation by the Rainbow Sailing Partnership due to weather, illness or inoperative vessel will result in either the offer to rebook or a full refund of the fee.
